The Many Health Benefits of Buying a Water Cooler
If you’ve managed to survive long enough to read this article, then it is likely that you are aware of the many health benefits of drinking water. Or at least you are aware of the fact that if you do not drink water you’ll die. In this brief article we are going talk about why the body needs water so badly.
At any given time, about sixty to seventy per cent of your body weight can be attributed to good old-fashioned water. Why so much? Well, the simple fact is that the body uses up water quickly to complete a number of crucial processes. For example, your lungs expel two to four cups of water just by breathing.
Then of course there is sweating and going to the bathroom and even expectorating from some crude blokes. All in all that is about six cups of water or eight to ten when you add the lungs. And that is the simple answer to why doctors and other experts recommend that people drink 8-10 glasses of water each day. It is also why buying a water cooler for your home or office might not be such a bad idea.
What are the dangers of not drinking enough water? As you may know, dehydration is a serious condition that may even require medical attention. The actual definition of dehydration is when a person loses 10 per cent of his body or water weight.
But this is the extreme. Studies have also shown that when a person loses as little as three or four per cent of his fluids, it can have a dramatic affect on the body. The most common symptoms of lack of water include tiredness and dull thinking. Water also helps lower the risk of kidney stones, lessen the duration of the common cold, as well as keeping the joints lubricated and the bowels moving.
